Uncle Bud has spent many years writing about the trips and exploration of the five northern counties where the wildlife is abundant and the fish practically jump onto your hook. However, he also spent just as much time working with Fish and Game to help protect and preserve our local habitat and the lifestyle we enjoy in this area of the United States. Although he is not an over the top conservationist, he does know and appreciate how important it is to protect and preserve the fish and wildlife habitat for future generations.

Uncle Bud is a dyed in the wool bait caster who truly respects and admires the art of mastering fly-fishing. However, he says he would rather go cross-eyed watching a bobber than be tangled up in a bunch of line.
